Solar PV System Overview
The installation of advanced solar PV systems at both The Douglas House offices and The Westgate House logistics centre was successfully completed by Matic Building Services.
At The Douglas House, the project featured an 88.14kWp array, consisting of 156Nr 565W modules, paired with an 80kW Solis PRO inverter, and installed using Van der Valk’s south-facing L10 ballasted mounting system. The cabling was expertly contained using neat black-lidded baskets, while the inverters, generation meter, and isolator were strategically located on a service level of the roof for optimal accessibility.
At The Westgate House, the system featured a larger 155.31kWp array comprising 275Nr of the same 565W modules, supported by one 80kW Solis PRO inverter and one 50kW Solis inverter. These were mounted using an Sflex trapezoidal mini rail system, covering two elevations of sawtooth trapezoidal roofing. Cabling was routed via lidded baskets along the building façade, leading to inverters securely housed on the ground floor within a protected section of the main warehouse.
Together, these installations are expected to generate an impressive 212,546kWh of clean electricity per annum
